We are pleased to announce the release of the new GENTRAIN User Manual! 📘

Download the manual here: UserManual.pdf

The manual was developed by the University of Bielefeld, one of our project partners in GENTRAIN, and provides a comprehensive description of the application as well as a practical introduction to using the software effectively.

The user manual is designed for end users who wish to use GENTRAIN in their daily work — for example, in public health departments, research institutions, or infection surveillance.
Its goal is to make it easier to get started with the software and to explain the most important features in a clear and structured way.

Included in the manual:

  • A step-by-step introduction to the GENTRAIN interface
  • Detailed instructions on data import, visualization, and outbreak analysis
  • Information on data protection, session handling, and storage options
  • Explanations of key concepts and terms used throughout the application

The user manual is now available through the documentation platform and complements the existing sections of the online documentation.

We would like to thank the University of Bielefeld for their dedicated collaboration and valuable contribution to improving the usability of GENTRAIN.

💡 Tip: The user manual is an excellent companion for trainings or workshops on using GENTRAIN.
